‘Blue Bloods’ Star Abigail Hawk Sings About Her Love for Coffee in Hilarious Behind-the-Scenes Video

If you’re anything like Blue Bloods star Abigail Hawk, caffeine is an essential and frequent part of your workday. But have you ever loved coffee and tea so much that you just had to sing about it? Next time you reach for the kettle or coffee pot, you might get Hawk’s new tune stuck in your head.

On Instagram, Hawk posted a video of her morning shenanigans while behind the scenes of Blue Bloods. As she sings about her affliction for caffeine, fellow actor Robert Clohessy, who portrays Lieutenant Sidney Gormley, dances in with her cup of iced coffee. Although, from the looks of the half-empty, iceless cup, it seems the actress behind Detective Abigail Baker has already enjoyed some of the morning’s brew. Despite the goofy lyrics, Hawk demonstrates her flawless singing skills with plenty of vibratos.

As Clohessy sways into the room, Hawk sings:

I love coffee, I love tea

I love the java jive and it loves me.

Coffee and tea and the java and me.

A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, boy.

Hawk tries to pan the camera back to her Blue Bloods co-star after exaggerating the last note of the jingle but ultimately films the wall. The two burst out in giggles.

“Tiktok fail,” Hawk says before ending the video.

‘Blue Bloods’ Star Shares How She Drinks Her Coffee at Home

While on the set of Blue Bloods, Abigail Hawk might prefer to have her java over ice and served by a fellow actor, but at home, the actress only has time for a quick hot cup in the midst of her morning duties.

Last year, Hawk shared the details of her morning routine during a keynote address at the virtual Mom Congress event. In a beautifully eloquent open letter to her infant daughter, the Blue Bloods star shares just how much being a mother has changed her perspective on life.

“But mornings come, and coffee helps,” Hawk shared during the keynote address. “A fresh pot brews, the beans bitter and strong. I pour in some almond milk and contemplate the fake coral in the aquarium. The tank needs cleaning; the dog needs fed; your brother’s lunch needs packing. Tasks beg my attention.”

Like many busy moms, something as small as a cup of coffee can help make the day seem a little more manageable, even with an endless to-do list and full workday ahead. Whether a midday treat or a mandatory morning supplement, a bit of caffeine helps Hawk be Abigail Baker on set and supermom at home.

So, to Abigail Hawk and other caffeine-loving moms out there, we say, java jive on!
