“Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg isn’t on a mission to increase his fame or fortune. Rather, he wants to use his platform to spread important messages about love.
Wahlberg consistently takes to Instagram or Twitter to spread these messages, cleverly utilizing the hashtag #spreadloveandlovewillspread. His fans — the self-named “Blockheads,” referencing Wahlberg’s band New Kids on the Block — absolutely love his almost daily words of wisdom.
Earlier this morning, the “Blue Bloods” star shared his latest thoughtful and philosophical insight. He also posted a screenshot of his Tweet to Instagram, with the caption, “#LOVE for the win.”
The Twitter message reads, “Love is joyful, healthy, blissful, forgiving, non-judgmental, open-minded, liberating, accepting and invigorating. Hate is painful, toxic, stressful, unforgiving, judgmental, closed-minded, burdensome, mistrusting, and sickening. #LOVE for the win. #spreadloveandlovewillspread.”
The “Blue Bloods” star really knows what’s up. He doesn’t try to disillusion himself about the way the world works, but he always tries to look on the bright side of things and spread that positivity to everyone.
And his Blockheads are happy to soak it all in. They flooded his replies as soon as the message posted, thanking Wahlberg for helping start their days off right.
“You have no idea how much I needed this today! Thank you for being our #loveninja and knowing just when your love and words of wisdom are needed. Love you forever!” Blockhead Theresa Scolaro replied.
“He is so wise our amazing @DonnieWahlberg always uplifts us with his words Donnie you are just amazing love ya xx,” said fan Kerry Blackmore.
We know we can always find uplifting thoughts on the “Blue Bloods” star’s page, whenever we need it.
‘Blue Bloods’ Star Donnie Wahlberg Opens Up About ‘Differing Opinions’ at Reagan Family Dinner Table
So, with Season 12 of “Blue Bloods” right around the corner, the show is gearing up by releasing Season 11 via DVD. And according to Looper, the DVD contains special featurettes and behind-the-scenes interviews with cast members.
One of those featurettes, called “Shades of Blue,” talks about the Reagan family arguing over a difference of opinions. Wahlberg, who plays Detective Danny Reagan, said the family doesn’t allow themselves to all follow the same train of thought like sheep.
“Despite the fact that it’s a law enforcement family, it’s a law enforcement family with a lot of differing opinions,” Walhberg said. “On any given dinner scene, you could have eight people at the table, all with eight different opinions of a real-life situation that’s occurring.”
So, real-life situations often contain lots of different “shades” that not everyone agrees with. But at least “Blue Bloods” tries to address all those different viewpoints via family arguments.
“Maybe we can tell a perspective that hasn’t necessarily been told, as storytellers,” Jamie Reagan actor Will Estes said on the featurette. “Maybe that brings us all closer together. I think that’s the kind of goals a television show can have, that I think that we may be able to do well.”
