“Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg took to Twitter on Wednesday, offering a tender tribute to someone close to his heart.
Wahlberg sent out a photo of Stephanie Bates along with a few words for his late friend.
Take a look at this sweet, kind post from him to Bates.
As you can see in his words, Wahlberg shared a hashtag of “#BHLove.”
New Kids on the Block, a boy band in which Wahlberg got his start, calls their fans “Blockheads.” We believe that Bates was one of these hardcore NKOTB fans.
Whatever the case may be, it’s someone that resonated with the “Blue Bloods” star.
The actor-singer, who plays Detective Danny Reagan on the CBS police drama, remains committed to both paths in his career.
“Blue Bloods” returns to the network’s fall lineup for its 12th season. Catch the premiere episode on Friday, Oct. 1, at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.

Danny, Erin Reagan Have Their Plates Full With Different Cases
Where do we start about this episode?
Firstly, TV Line has reported this episode features a tough time for Frank and New York City Mayor Peter Chase, played by Dylan Walsh. They have a difference of opinion when it’s about a proper response to a much-publicized shooting. It’s getting hot action-wise on the police drama.
Secondly, we have Danny Reagan, who is working on the murder of a child. It is a baffling case that leads him and partner Maria Baez, played by Marisa Ramirez, to a psychic for help. Show fans are introduced to medium Maggie Gibson, played by Callie Thorne. Thorne’s character was a recurring one throughout some Season 10 episodes.
Finally, Erin is trying to wrap her head around some information. Her boss, District Attorney Kimberly Crawford, played by Roslyn Ruff, is connected with a long-ago case in Erin’s world.
Saddle up, “Blue Bloods” fans. This upcoming season promises to be filled with action from the get-go.
