Blue Bloods star Donnie Wahlberg is offering to add to a donation for charity after noticing someone was selling off a signed Band of Brothers box set for a cause. One Twitter user started a draw to win the box set if they donated. All proceeds were set to go to the West Island Cancer wellness center. Wahlberg issued a challenge to his fans, who he calls “Blockheads.”

“Blockhead family — if you can generously get the amount up to one thousand, I will personally make a donation of another $1,000 to the cause! (Yeah, I’ll do it anyway but it would be great if we can get there together),” Wahlberg wrote in a recent tweet.

Wahlberg is known for his acts of kindness and charity. This is on top of his acting on Blue Bloods, Band of Brothers, and other productions. He’s also in the band New Kids on the Block. That’s where the expression “blockhead” comes from.

On top of performing with New Kids on the Block, Wahlberg is staying busy with the filming of Blue Bloods season 12 underway.

‘Blue Bloods’ Is Gearing up For Season 12

Blue Bloods season 12 is in production, and fans are excited for more. There’s a ton that fans were left pondering after the two-part finale that aired last May. Fans are wondering if they’ll get more of characters like Joe Hill and Nicki Reagan. There’s no word on Nicki Reagan just yet. However, Joe Hill will have a part to play, though he won’t be a regular.

“We’d like to be able to weave him in and out of stories,” Executive Producer Kevin Wade told TV Line. “He obviously has a great chemistry and connection to our cast, and my anecdotal evidence is that the audience really liked what he brought to the show. He has a fresh relationship with the characters that they’ve been with for 11 years.”

Joe Hill will likely continue to battle with himself about what it means to be a Reagan in the upcoming season. Still, fans are hoping he’ll take some frequent spots at the family dinner table.

Fans also want to see more of Bridget Moynahan’s Erin Reagan, whose the only member of the Reagan family that isn’t on the force. If a recent Reddit thread is anything to go by, many people are wondering what’s next for the character while her brother Jamie continues to climb the career ladder. Erin likely can’t become the DA while her father’s in power.

There are plenty of characters fans are missing a lot at this point, but there’s not much longer until Blue Bloods comes back as a part of CBS’s Fall 2021 lineup. You can catch the hit drama on Friday, October 1, at 10/9 C.
