‘Blue Bloods’ Star Donnie Wahlberg Sends Message to Fans About How to ‘Make the World a Better Place’

Actor and performer Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Danny Reagan on “Blue Bloods,” has dedicated the last decade to playing a guy who’s trying to make the world a better place. During the show, Danny is an investigator in New York City’s 54th  Precinct’s Detective Squad. He specializes in Major Crimes and does whatever he needs to do in the name of justice. In conclusion, Donnie Wahlberg knows a thing or two about making the world a better place.

He recently shared some words on Twitter. He listed a series of actions and then challenged his fans to choose one of those actions to perform today.

“Love. Respect. Kindness. Courtesy. Mindfulness. Empathy. Compassion. Forgiveness. Patience. Consideration. Humility,” wrote Wahlberg. “Make an effort to treat somebody with just ONE of those today — and your life, their life and the world, will all become a much better place.”

Fans are already celebrating Donnie Wahlberg’s post. One fan wrote, “I love this!” Another agreed and added to Wahlberg’s sentiment. They wrote, “Not only does it make you a better human being, but the gift of sharing all of the above, is a gift to the person you’re sharing these actions with, we never know what battles another is fighting.”

So, which of Donnie’s words will you choose to offer the world today?

Donnie Wahlberg Once Left a Server a $2,020 Tip For a $35 Bill

Donnie Wahlberg is no stranger to good deeds. Not only does Wahlberg play a good guy on TV but he also makes sure to spread some cheer around the world as often as he can. Last year, as part of the #2020tipchallenge, Wahlberg left a $2,020 tip on a $35.27 bill to his server, Denise Andrews, at Marshland Restaurant’s Plymouth, Massachusetts location. And that wasn’t even the first time he left a generous tip to servers. During a year as tough as 2020, it’s nice to hear that a celebrity like Donnie Wahlberg committed to bringing light to people’s lives.

When he’s not leaving insane tips, Wahlberg also donates to charities around the country. He’s worked with organizations including Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Entertainment Industry Foundation, Habitat For Humanity, and KaBOOM! He even teamed up with his band, New Kids On The Block, last year to raise money for COVID-19 relief. The group released a new song, “House Party,” and donated all the proceeds to No Kid Hungry. The organization worked to provide food to children during COVID-19 who would normally rely on schools for daily meals.

Thanks for being a stand-up guy both on and off camera, Donnie Wahlberg!
