Never let it be said that “Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg has forgotten his fans.

The New Kids on the Block musician sent out an appreciative tweet to his fanbase on Thursday night, promising to love them forever.

“Love you my Blockhead fam,” Wahlberg tweeted. “Forever and ever and ever and every forever ever after. #loveeternal #BHLove.”

‘Blue Bloods’ Season 12 Has Begun Filming

Meanwhile, Wahlberg has been back on set. “Blue Bloods” has begun filming its next season. CBS renewed the show for Season 12 in April, after some initial fears on the part of the showrunner and others that the season 11 finale would also be the series finale.

So Wahlberg found himself working on his birthday. But hilariously, Wahlberg was so busy on that particular day that a production assistant stepped in to take over his role in a scene the cast was rehearsing.

“When you’re busy tweeting on your bday, while shooting @BlueBloods_CBS, so they have a P.A. play your role in a scene in your place,” Wahlberg tweeted yesterday. “Great work Sharkey. Guess we’ll be watching you Friday nights this fall.”

Wahlberg’s Band Recently Played Fenway Park

New Kids on the Block recently resumed its mixtape tour, launched in 2019, which had gone on hiatus due to the pandemic. However, once stadium shows became a thing again, the pop quintet pulled out all the stops for their return to Fenway, which they’ve played before.

Interestingly, one 11-year-old fan had a bad experience at the show: a woman snatched his souvenir t-shirt right out of his hands. But no sooner had his sisters posted about the experience on social media than Wahlberg got wind of it.

And what did he do? The “Blue Bloods” star recorded a special video to send to the fan. And he and the guys also put together a special care package for the kid.

“I also wanted to say that next time I’m in Boston, I want to meet you,” Wahlberg said in the video. “And take a picture and say how proud I am of you for being so brave in this tough time. OK, my friend? Hang in there. Hope to see you soon. Bye.”

The boy’s mother later said the look on his face when he watched Wahlberg’s video “melted my heart.”

It just goes to show the lengths Wahlberg will go to for his Blockhead (as New Kids fans refer to themselves) family, and his belief in the importance of spreading love wherever he goes.
