Is there anything better than a night out with close friends? Probably not if you are asking Blue Bloods star, Sami Gayle.

Without a doubt, Blue Bloods fans know and love Sami Gayle. Gayle has starred on the show since 2010 as Nicky Reagan-Boyle — the daughter of Erin Reagan (played by Bridget Moynahan) and granddaughter of Frank Reagan (played by Tom Selleck). She made her first appearance on the show when she was just 14 years old.

The now-25-year-old took to social media over the weekend to post photos and videos from her night out with her friends. They appear to be her college friends from Columbia University.

“Picture is blurry but happiness is clear,” she wrote alongside one photo with her friends.

She captioned other images with messages like, “Surround yourself with friends who light you up…” and “Lion Fam for Life!”

You can view the entire adventure on her Instagram story for the next several hours. Have a look down below:

“About last night… Check out my stories for an epic Long Island evening with an even more epic duo.”

‘Blue Bloods’ Actress Went to the Same University as Her Character on the Show

Speaking of college friends, actress Sami Gayle had the luxury of attending Columbia University. Not only is Gayle the same age as her character, Nicky Reagan-Boyle, she also went to the same college. That’s right — Nicky went to Columbia University on Blue Bloods. Fans may recall when the daughter of Erin Reagan was looking around at potential universities. Well, it just so happened that she was looking at those same schools in real life.

It certainly could not have been easy juggling college classes and a rigorous filming schedule all at the same time. But that is exactly what Sami Gayle did. She spoke to Hollywood Life about what it was like to be in her shoes during that time.

“We shot Wednesday to Sunday schedule. I did this for about seven weeks. On Sunday night, we’d finish shooting, I don’t know maybe at three or four in the morning,” Gayle said. I’d get on a plane at 6 a.m., I would come to New York, shoot ‘Blue Bloods’ in the morning, then I would go to school. I boarded my classes that semester from 1 to 8 so that I could attend as many as possible on the Monday, Tuesday. I wrote my papers on planes!”

Oh, and did we mention that all the while, she was also filming a movie? She appeared in the film Candy Jar, which was written by her brother and is available to stream on Netflix.
