As one of CBS‘s most successful procedural crime shows, “Blue Bloods” has seen their cast gain national and international fame. However, the show’s also attracted a variety of guest stars and during a recent interview, “Blue Bloods” star Will Estes revealed some of his favorite guest stars to have ever appeared on set.
Because of “Blue Bloods,'” longevity, Estes stated the show has seen more than their fair share of guest stars, and not at all in a negative way. Instead, during his interview with Looper, it made the decision to pick one favorite incredibly hard.
Instead, the Jamie Reagan actor revealed a handful of his most memorable experiences with “Blue Bloods” guest stars.
“There’s been so many,” the actor began. “We had Chazz Palminteri. I thought Whoopi Goldberg was fantastic playing opposite Tom. William Sadler playing Vanessa’s father. I was honored and excited to be working with him.” Perhaps, based on that statement, maybe we can assume William Sadler categorizes as number one?
Regardless, Estes continued, “It’s hard to just pick one.”
And as for a star he would like to see on the set of “Blue Bloods?” Well, I suppose that was a hard choice too. He revealed, again, that there would be such a variety of stars and actors to choose from. However, he did say, “I’m fans of so many people it might sound ridiculous if I start listing them all.”
So, there you have it. And frankly, we understand Estes’ indecision. 12 years is a long time for an actor and in that time, numerous guest stars would have come and gone from “Blue Bloods.” For now, I suppose we’ll just wait to see who the next iconic “Blue Bloods” guest star is.
Will Estes Shares His Favorite ‘Blue Bloods’ Storyline
While the “Blue Bloods” star struggled to narrow down even a small list of his favorite guest stars, he was not hesitant in sharing some of his favorite storylines. Notice I said “some.” It’s surely hard to choose after 12 seasons with such a vast variety of storylines and subplots.
Regardless, we did get a bit more of a concrete answer here Outsiders. Estes shared, “Anything I get to do with Donnie,” is always a good time. The “Blue Bloods” actor further revealed that his character’s promotion to sergeant was also a fun storyline.
However, he didn’t stop there. Interestingly, Estes said the stuff he truly loved doing took place in the very beginning of “Blue Bloods.”
“The stuff I really loved was in the very beginning, when I got to research my brother’s death and try to find out what happened to him.” Outsiders might recall Jamie’s brother had been murdered by crooked cops, “So that was a really fun story line.”
Overall though, it appears the star is simply content to work alongside costars Donnie Wahlberg and Vanessa Ray.
