CBS Announced Blue Bloods Renewal Last Week
Last week, CBS announced it had picked up Blue Bloods for a 12th season. The show thrives in its Friday night time slot. Blue Bloods enjoyed an audience of 6.7 million viewers, the best of any show that night. It also was the series’ second-biggest audience of the season. The show had a .6 rating in the key demo of 18 to 49-year-olds. That tied with Shark Tank for tops on Friday night.
Blue Bloods was among a group of CBS shows that the network renewed in one mass announcement. Others included NCIS, Bull, SWAT and Magnum P.I.
While Moynahan was celebrating Blue Bloods, Tuesday, she’ll be commemorating another date, next week. She’ll turn 50, April 28.
Moynahan Started TV Career On Sex and the City
She started her career as a model and then had a recurring role in Sex and the City, playing Mr. Big’s wife, Natasha. So that meant she was in competition with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) for the same man.
For the record, Nastasha and Mr. Big divorced and he married Carrie. In a recent interview, Moynahan called her role and the show “a gift that keeps giving,” especially considering there’s renewed talk about another movie sequel.
“It’s always nice to go back,” Moynahan said, “and have the energy around that show, which really was one of the first projects I did. It really was the jump-start of my career. I’ve always felt really great about that.”
In Erin Reagan on Blue Bloods, she plays a strong woman with her own distinct identity. She’s a mother, a daughter, sister and a tough, smart lawyer.
And she said she’s not bothered by the idea of turning 50.
“I am really excited about turning 50,” the Blue Bloods star told NewBeauty.com. “I feel great. And I look great. I don’t know, I don’t seem very fazed by it at all. I’m just really excited for it to happen. Is that weird?
