Need some good news? New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan and the rest of Blue Bloods are officially coming back.
It may come as no surprise that Blue Bloods is returning, but the announcement from CBS comes on the back of Season 11 seeing a dip in interest. As many long-running shows do, ratings decrease over time and Season 11 also marked the fourth consecutive season that featured a dip in ratings.
CBS made the announcement via Twitter, sending fans into a frenzy. Besides Blue Bloods, CBS is bringing back a host of police and law-based items like Bull, NCIS and Magnum P.I.
The caption reads:

The announcement is being well-received, with many fans of the various programs sounding off their praise.
