Country music singer Brad Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, are launching a Million Meal Donation Tour that will hit 16 major cities over two weeks.

Paisley and Williams-Paisley have a food brand, Tiller & Hatch, that offers boxed meals developed by chefs. The brand also provides meals to communities in need. Tiller & Hatch is partnering with Feeding America, a nonprofit that runs food banks across the country, to distribute the meals.

The couple got into the issue of food insecurity even before they started a free grocery store earlier this year, according to Fox News. Now, they are sending semi-trucks packed with 750,000 pounds of donated food to cities across the country, from Detroit to Los Angeles to Chicago.

“We’re just rallying to feed people,” Brad Paisley said.

The couple’s free grocery store, The Store, is in Nashville, Tennessee, the Associated Press reports. The pair have heard many stories from people who never expected to need food assistance but have had to seek it recently.

“Now it’s a matter of what’s happening and trying to figure out how to not let people fall through the cracks,” Paisley added. “It’s been a lot of people who have been poor for a long time. But then, there are others who were financially sound six months ago, but now have fallen on hard times. We are seeing this firsthand. We are trying to meet their needs.”

The free meals they plan to distribute will feature foods such as artisanal pastas, hearty stews and flavorful soups, according to the Associated Press
