Take stars from “The Brady Bunch” and “The Partridge Family,” add rock star Alice Cooper, toss in Bigfoot, and you’ve got a combination that is almost too weird to be believed.

But, believe it – because it actually happened. And, we all have the 2012 SyFy film “Bigfoot” to thank. In the film, Bigfoot wreaks havoc in South Dakota. Two members of the film’s cast had their big Hollywood breaks starring in family-oriented shows during the 1970s.

One of them is Barry Williams, who played Greg Brady on “The Brady Bunch.” The other is Danny Bonaduce, who played Danny Partridge on “The Partridge Family.”

Just before “Bigfoot” debuted on SyFy in June 2012, Williams and Bonaduce sat down with MediaMikes.com. The actors took the time to talk about the project and how they came to be involved.

“It was really easy for me. They said that they were talking to Danny Bonaduce and they wanted me in the movie. And I said as long as I can beat him up I’ll do the movie,” Williams joked.

According to Bonaduce, he had a role in the film before he even knew he had been cast.

“… I was doing my radio show two years ago and heard that I was doing a movie about Bigfoot with Barry Williams,” Bonaduce said in 2012. “… called my agent who also has my name on Google Search and he said I just read that too. I said is there any truth to it? And he said I haven’t heard a word about it. And two years later we started production. It was really bizarre but it’s neat.”

The two famous television stars also said during the interview they enjoyed working together.

“But we did work together well,” Williams said. “I’d do it again for sure.”

In Addition to ‘The Brady Bunch’ and ‘The Partridge Family’ Stars Other Famous Faces Also Appear in SyFy ‘Bigfoot’ Film

You’ve got Barry Williams and Danny Bonaduce in SyFy’s “Bigfoot.” But there are other famous faces who also appear in the 2012 film.

One of these is rock star Alice Cooper. So, what is Alice Cooper doing in this unusual movie? Well, he plays himself. And it appears he is part of a 1980s-themed concert that is significant to the plot early in the movie.

Both Williams and Bonaduce said they enjoyed working with Cooper on the film.

“I knew we needed a pop icon in the role and Alice was not yet cast when we started the movie,” Williams recalled. “And when I found out he was coming out and going to join us I was absolutely beside myself. I’m a big fan both of him, Kiss and he came in full regalia with all the leathers, the riding crop and a very cool guy. And I was also, you know, hoping because I sing a song in this movie and I was kind of hoping maybe I get some props from the Man and that didn’t happen.”

Sherilyn Fenn, another famous television star, also appears in the movie. Fans of “Twin Peaks” will remember Fenn for playing the character Audrey Horne in the 1990s cult classic. “Twin Peaks” was created by David Lynch and Mark Frost.

You can watch a clip from SyFy’s 2012 “Bigfoot” movie below. It features both “The Brady Bunch” and “The Partridge Family” stars. This clip comes from late in the film, so you want to avoid spoilers, you might want to skip it. But, if you’re not worried about that, you don’t want to miss this.
