“The Brady Bunch” star Susan Olsen once spoke out on the bad blood between her two on-screen sisters Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb.

Both actors had a feud during the late 2000s that made it awkward for Olsen as the TV show’s third sister. In her 2008 memoir “Here’s the Story,” McCormick jokingly implied she and Plumb had an affair together. McCormick wrote that the two engaged in a lesbian affair while working together. Reportedly, the memoir offended Plumb, who labeled it as false.

Olsen spoke out in a 2009 interview on the actors’ feud and McCormick’s “false” recollections. Olsen said neither of the actors would appear at the same functions together. Ultimately, Olsen took Plumb’s side in the feud.

“I don’t like there to be a rift in the family. I love them both and this means whenever we get together for any project there will only be one or the other. But I do understand Eve’s point of view,” Olsen told Fox News. “She got tired of Maureen gaining attention for herself by regurgitating the tiresome and false insinuations that they had a lesbian affair.”

After the memoir, Plumb refused to have any contact with McCormick as a result.

A ‘Brady Bunch’ Reconciliation

They say time heals all wounds. Or at the very least, it can end grudges. Both McCormick and Plumb eventually settled their feud for good. After all, sisters fight, even if they’re just on-screen siblings. It took almost a decade later in 2019 for both McCormick and Plumb to be in the same room together.

“It’s such a drag because I loved her,” McCormick said in 2009. “I hope we can work it out, she was my best friend on the show. It’s been years since we spoke.”

Both McCormick and Plumb reconciled on the set of “A Very Brady Renovation” in 2019. It was the first time that all six of the Brady Bunch had been in the same room together in years. The reality show featured the cast’s attempts to renovate the home from the popular TV show. It also offered McCormick and Plumb the chance to rebuild their friendship.

Things may have started off a little awkward once they were in the same room together. But over the course of filming the reality show, the two remembered why they became friends to begin with. And all the Brady Bunch reunited together once more.
