Candace Cameron Bure and Her Husband Reveal ‘Time Capsule’ Marriage ‘Advice’ in Anniversary Trip Video

In celebration of her 25th anniversary with her husband, Valeri Bure, Full House starlet Candace Cameron Bure posted an adorable video on Instagram that reveals a “Time Capsule” marriage advice during their recent trip.

In the video, the couple shares their key advice on how to stay married for 25 years. Valeri states, “[My] advice is to give your life to Jesus.” They laugh and then turn the camera to face a beautiful ocean before turning it back around to share more of their advice. The couple notably celebrated their anniversary with a few “incredible” nights at Pebble Beach resorts.

Candace and Valeri were introduced by her Full House co-star, Dave Coulier, at a charity hockey game. They were married on June 22, 1996, less than a year after meeting. They have three kids, Natasha (born 1998) and sons Lev (2000) and Maksim (2002). Her daughter, Natasha, competed in Season 11 of The Voice.

In a 2019 interview, Candace explains what draws her to Valeri the most.

“He makes me laugh a lot, which is a very good quality. He’s just such a bold person. We always have interesting conversations. I love his passion and his strength so very much. He’s so supportive of me and our children.”

Candace also describes marriage as a “wonderful, beautiful thing” but there will always be some tough times. “There’s no one that has this amazingly perfect marriage… you just hang in there and stick with it.”

Candace On Why She’s Terrible About Celebrating Anniversaries

Although it seemed like happiness and love in the recent clip, Candace Cameron Bure recently explains why she’s actually “terrible’ when it comes to celebrating anniversaries with her husband.

“We are exchanging gifts, although I’m terrible at anniversary gifts. I’m the worst,” Candace shares with US Weekly. “Val always comes up with something that’s wonderful and theme related, meaning it’s 25 years… it’s silver. So he will for sure get something that’s silver.”

Candace Cameron Bure goes on to say, “I have something that is really small and not expensive, but I had something custom made. So that felt a little extra on my part, but it’s not extravagant.”

Candace Cameron Bure Looks Back on Her Wedding Day in 1996

The actress and now fashion designer also looks back on her wedding day, when she was 20 years old.

“I was not a bridezilla,” Candace proclaims. “I was also 20 years old, and I feel like 25 years go, it as different. I had the wedding of my dreams, but it was just like… lots of compromise along the way. I didn’t even know what I wanted really. So it kind of made it easy  when people would make suggestions.”
