Actress Candace Cameron Bure has been having some fun with the photo filters.
In a hilarious new Instagram post, Cameron Bure shared a picture of herself with a face-warping, head-shrinking filter in effect. The result is something resembling a maniacally grinning troll doll.
“It’s fine. We’re fine. Everything’s fine,” Cameron Bure posted. “Just trying to stay somewhat sane before the new Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: How to Con a Con premiering March 14th on @hallmarkmovie 🥴😂.”
Candace Cameron Bure Is Skilled At Clapbacks
Cameron Bure is mature enough to poke fun at herself sometimes, as she did in the photo filter post. But over the years, she has also dealt with her fair share of haters and critics.
Most recently, Cameron Bure had to push back against the notion that her work on the Hallmark Channel is easy. She had appeared on “The Paula Faris Podcast” only to have Faris request a role in a Hallmark movie and then ask her point-blank, “I mean, really, how hard is it? Don’t you get that all the time?”
“Can we just talk about this for a second?” Cameron Bure replied. “I get that all the time. ‘How hard is it to be in a Hallmark movie?’ Like, ‘Can I be in a Hallmark movie?’ And I’m like, ‘Are you a professional actor?’ ‘No.’ ‘Then no, you cannot.’”
Cameron Bure has also responded to online critics who attacked a family photo she posted to Instagram. She hopped into the comments to share her two cents there, then expanded on that sentiment in an interview with E!’s “Daily Pop.”
“People forget that – yes, I’m a celebrity – but I’m a real person,” she told E!. “I was simply sharing a family Christmas card. And it’s so strange to me that people have the audacity to write horrible and negative comments. Like, you would never say that to someone’s face.”
Additionally, Cameron Bure has had to defend herself against a backlash over who she follows on social media. The actress follows former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump as well as President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.
Cameron Bure said she doesn’t want to discuss politics publicly; she would rather share her Christian faith. But she believes it’s healthy to take in a variety of viewpoints. And that’s why the angry comments from people were “strange” to her, she said.
Actress Defends Photo With Her Husband
The actress also found herself on the receiving end of some critical comments after she posted a photo in which her husband was touching her breast.
First Cameron Bure took down the photo from her Instagram Story, per Fox News. Then she posted some videos in which she talked about the furor the photo had caused. Finally, she re-posted the photo to her Instagram account.
“For all of the Christians that are questioning my post with my husband’s hand on my boob – my husband of 24 years – thinking it was inappropriate, it makes me laugh because it’s my husband,” she reportedly said.
Cameron Bure later appeared on “Entertainment Tonight” to discuss the backlash. She was able to laugh off the negative comments. However, she admitted to some irritation that people would judge someone else’s marriage like that.
