Candace Cameron Bure is defending her husband (again) for a recent picture where he is seen with his left hand over her right breast in her Instagram post. According to Candace, she’s just happy their marriage is still fun and spicy after 24 years.
On Thursday, the “Fuller House” star joined “TMZ Live” and shut down those that thought the post was inappropriate. The picture quickly went viral two weeks ago of her husband Valeri Bure holding onto her chest while posing with his wife.
“I have no more to say about this photo, it’s so silly to me that it went viral,” she said in the interview.
Cameron Bure said she has no gripes or regrets about her husband’s hand placement in the photo. In addition, she says that kind of affection is one of the reasons their marriage is still going strong.
“You know what? If my husband is still grabbing my boob after 24 years of marriage, what is there to complain about,” she explained. “I’m pretty happy he’s grabbing me, you know what I mean?”
Some viewers were put off by the picture of the couple and strongly criticized Cameron Bure. However, she also said lots of people supported her and thought the picture showed that the couple have a fun marriage. In fact, as further proof that it was no big deal, she said her son is the one who snapped the photo.
“I think there are a lot more important things going on in the world than this photo,” Cameron Bure said. “We love showing affection towards one another, and our kids are not embarrassed by it either.”
Candace Cameron Not Sorry For the Controversial Photo
Cameron took a hard stance against critics when the photo first made headlines. She said the photo was fine with her, and therefore no one else should care. Especially, since it was shared with her longtime husband.
“For all of the Christians that are questioning my post with my husband’s hand on my boob — my husband of 24 years — thinking it was inappropriate, it makes me laugh because it’s my husband. We have so much fun together,” Cameron Bure said to the The Daily Mail.
The couple tied the knot in 1996 and have three kids together. Valeri Bure played professional hockey for 10 seasons in the NHL before retiring in 2005. The actress was unapologetic over the photo with her husband.
“He can touch me any time he wants, and I hope he does,” said Cameron Bure. “This is what a healthy, good marriage and relationship is all about. I’m sorry if it offended you — I’m actually not sorry. I’m glad we have fun together after so many years. He can touch me all day long.”
Candace is currently filming a new series of Hallmark Channel holiday movies, as well as debuting her new Dayspring clothing collection.
