The Political Troubles of Cardi B

Cardi B has become interested in politics recently. She recently interviewed Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden for Elle Magazine in August.

During the Republican National Convention last month, she became an attack point after posting a snarky tweet about First Lady Melanie Trump’s past as a model. Republicans responded in kind. This quickly grew into a flame war on Twitter between Cardi B and her 17 million followers and GOP officials such as ex-Republican congressional candidate DeAnna Lorraine.

Last month, She also found herself embroiled in a Twitter fight with conservative firebrand Candice Owens after Owens claimed Cardi’s music was hurtful for black culture.
