‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’: Jason Alexander is Going to Hilariously Struggle in Appearance

Days prior to his appearance on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, fans got a sneak of Seinfeld star Jason Alexander hilariously struggling during his appearance on the game show.

“Pat, can I just say, that was very hard,” Alexander states to Wheel of Fortune legend Pat Sajak. “That was. You’re supposed to do the dumbed-down version for celebrities.”

Alexander will be competing against Cheryl Burke and Michael “The Mix” Mizanin on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Vanna White will also join the panel as well. Much like the usual prime time game show, the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune contestants guess hidden phrases by guessing letters one at a time and win money or prizes, as determined by a spin of the wheel, for each correct consonant they guess.

Each of the celebrities playing on Sunday will have a chance to win up to $1 million that will go towards the charity of each celebrity’s choice. Other celebrities set to be Celebrity Wheel of Fortune contestants include Laverne Cox, Jason Mraz, Melissa Joan Hart, Jodie Sweetin, and Ali Wentworth.

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune is set to return at 8/7c on CBS this Sunday (September 26th).

‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Jason Alexander Joins Broadway Cares Red Bucket Challenge

Along with being on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, Alexander joined of the Broadway Cares Red Bucket Challenge earlier this year. Every donation to the Challenge provides meals, medications, and emergency assistance for people whose needs due to HIV/AIDS. The donations also help with the current global health crisis.

“I made my Broadway debut in 1981 not long before Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS was founded,” the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune contestant explained. “Seeing the difference this organization has made over time and the impact your donations in those iconic – now virtual – red bucks can have is truly inspiring.”

Alexander then stated that although some of the theaters are currently dark, he is committing to making a difference. Every donation to the Red Bucket Match-Up is matching with Gilead Science dollar for dollar. The match will go up to $1 million.

“Your donation will have double the impact for those facing challenges today. From HIV/AIDS, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and other life-threatening illnesses in all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico,” Alexander writes. “Your support will provide medication, health care, and emergency assistance to those in need right now. Your compassion is providing hope.”

So far, the Wheel of Fortune contestant has raised more than $135,000 of his $150,000 goal. In a Spring 2021 update, Alexander stated that the fundraiser has raised $1 million in total funds to help artists and workers in need.

Others who participated in the campaign were Jordan Fisher, Kathryn Gallagher, Eric McCormack, Aaron Tveit and Jenna Ushkowitz.
