Did Chicago Fire star Miranda Rae Mayo just reveal a storyline from Season 10?

Fans believe that a recent Instagram Story may be giving fans clues to the plot for the upcoming season. She shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the 1990 film, Cry Baby. The teen romantic comedy starred Johnny Depp and Amy Locane, who were seen on top of each other preparing for an intimate scene as director John Waters instructed them.

Mayo captioned the photos, “This is our lives,” while tagging Taylor Kinney. Kinney portrays Kelly Severide on the series. His fate is still up in the air following the Season 9 finale. As of now, no announcements have been made about his character.

Fans believe that this means they were working together again as filming began last week. Will he return for good or in a throwback capacity? People are speculating.

Everything We Know About ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 10

NBC promoted Hanako Greensmith (Violet Mikami) to a series regular. The medic first appeared in Season 8 before returning in the following season. She replaced Mackey (Adriyan Rae) as Brett’s fellow medic for Ambulance 61. Fans are already beginning to question if she’ll go on a date with Gallo after Ritter vouched for him.

Two major events will take place during this season. Showrunner Derek Haas told TV Line that there will be another crossover between Chicago Med and PD.

“We’ve already started talking about ideas for it and to do one in the vein of ‘Infection,’ where it was three big episodes with all three shows represented in all three hours. That would be ideal,” he shared. “Hopefully, the pandemic will be closer to being under control by then, and we’ll have more people back and we can cross people over a bit more easily.”

The second major milestone is that the fifth episode this season will mark the series’ 200th episode. The creators plan to make it special in some capacity.

Haas also revealed that a special character will be appearing in the next season.

“Amelia, we were going to do this season. And logistically, with COVID, we couldn’t have a baby on set,” he explained. “When we had the baby in the gas station explosion, you never actually saw the baby. We just put that on hold, but we’ll definitely revisit that next season.” Additionally, Haas will write about a foster update in a future episode.

Season 10 will premiere on Wednesday, September 22, at 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
