The 2004 USA Network drama 4400 is getting a reboot. And Chicago P.D. actor Patrick John Flueger is set to guest star in the series.

The re-imagined 4400, which premiered on October 25th, was given a straight-to-series order by the CW in February of this year. And Patrick John Flueger has signed on for a guest role in an upcoming episode.

The actor also appeared in the original cast as Shawn Farrell, a series regular and lead character. But in the reboot, Flueger will not revise his role. Instead, he will star as a character named Caleb, who plays into the 4400’s past.

The story follows a group of 4400 people who went missing over the course of 100 years. Then in an instant, all of them return to Detroit with no memory of their disappearance and without having aged a day. The Government instantly races to hide the situation from the public and uncover the mystery behind the supernatural situation. And along the way, each of the 4400 learns that they have been returned with super-human powers.

The original series received three Emmy nods. Showrunner Scott Peters earned two of those nods for writing and producing the show. The other was for Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie.

The reboot comes from Riverdale and Walker producers Ariana Jackson and Anna Fricke. Catch 4400 on the CW every Monday at 9/8 C.

‘Chicago P.D.’: Patrick John Flueger Teased Atwater’s Newfound Romance Before Season Began

Last month, Chicago P.D. brought a new love interest to the screen for officer Kevin Atwater. And his co-star Patrick John Flueger teased about the romance long before they met.

During a pre-season interview with Starry Constellation Magazine, Flueger revealed that Atwater’s love life was about to get interesting. He even gave away the exact episode that begins the relationship, which was episode five.

“Royce really takes a front seat and he meets a young woman that…came in and just absolutely killed it,” he said.

“[He] starts to develop a relationship with her, she’s not a fan of cops so he plays his job a little close to the vest,” he shared.

And so far, that’s exactly what we’ve seen happen. In the episode titled Burnside, Kevin Atwater meets Celeste Nichols, at a downtown club. The two hit it off immediately and the two spend and steamy night together. But when Atwater wakes up in her apartment the next morning, he sees anti-police artwork strewn over her walls. So, he decides not to tell his new love interest about his career, which is bound to add some drama to the show.

“I’m excited to see Royce have…a little action, you know what I mean?” Flueger continued, “Come on, he’s a suave, handsome man; we need to give him a gal to hang out with.”
