It’s currently 37 degrees in Chicago, IL, with a “real feel” of 36 (whatever that means). And Tracy Spiridakos is out and about filming scenes for Chicago PD. But she’s not happy about it.

To some of you, 37 degrees may not sound so bad. But Windy City residents know that it’s all downhill from there.

Winter in Chicago can only be described in one word—brutal. The city gets loads of snow, ice, and sub-zero temps. And thanks to the frigid waters of Lake Michigan, Chicago gets a wind chill that likely rivals Siberia.

Tracy Spiridakos felt that first bite of cold today, and it made her realize that the winter lull is upon her. The thought left her crying in her Chicago PD uniform, and she posted how she’s feeling about the seasonal change on Instagram.

“Winter is here, and I’m not ready,” she wrote alongside a photo that perfectly encapsulates her mood.

The picture also shows how Jesse Lee Soffer is feeling about the weather change. He looks perfectly content with the upcoming blistery temps.

But surprisingly, the Hailey Upton actress didn’t get a lot of sympathy in her comments. Almost every one of her followers only had one thing on their minds—Upstead. You know, the cute nickname for the Upton and Halstead relationship.

The two have been a fan favorite couple for a couple of seasons now, and the recently engaged duo isn’t doing so well in recent episodes. But as Spiridakos’s comments made clear, people aren’t ready to see the relationship end.

‘Chicago PD’ Stars Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos Break Down That Long-Awaited Moment

This year has been a whirlwind of emotions for officers Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead. The season started with a marriage proposal. And now, the couple is struggling to survive.

But the marriage proposal is still fresh on our minds. And apparently, actors Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer are still feeling gitty about the “long-awaited moment” where their characters put a ring on it.

“It’s important to have that moment,” Soffer told killed a suspect. At the time of the proposal, Halstead knew nothing about the incident. In a later episode, he found out. And he doesn’t know if he can forgive his fiance for her involvement.

But Spiridakos thinks (or hopes) the couple will weather the storm. And the proposal scene will remain touching for years to come.

“It was a really sweet scene, I’m excited to see it,” Spiridakos said. “I think they very much deeply care for each other. And I think that this whole thing is definitely gonna affect their dynamic for sure. But I do think that they’re in it for the long haul. I don’t know of a wedding anytime soon, but I can see that happening at some point.”
