Christina Applegate Receives Message of Support From Former Co-Star Selma Blair, Who Also Has MS

Christina Applegate has all the support in the world during such trying times. Her good friend and former co-star Selma Blair offered words of comfort. Applegate recently revealed that doctors diagnosed her with multiple sclerosis. Blair also suffers from MS as well.

Both Applegate and Blair starred in the 2002 romantic comedy “The Sweetest Thing” together. But they became even closer friends over the years thanks to their children. Blair has been a public advocate of MS awareness since her own diagnosis in 2018. So when Applegate announced she also had the disease, Blair offered her a message of support.

On Twitter, Blair messaged Applegate in response to the “Married With Children” star’s diagnosis. Blair said she wanted Applegate to know that she felt loved.

On Twitter, she wrote: “Loving you always. Always here. As are our kids. Beating us up with love,” Blair wrote

Likewise, Applegate later commented on Blair’s post. And the two seem to absolutely enjoy being mothers while poking a little fun at their children. Applegate wrote, “I love our two weirdos.  They are so fun.”

Both Christina Applegate and Selma Blair both have children the same age. Blair is the mother of 10-year-old Arthur Saint Bleick. Meanwhile, Applegate’s daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble is also 10 as well. Both Blair and Applegate have swapped stories as parents.

Applegate first revealed her MS diagnosis on Monday. She wanted to reveal the diagnosis publicly to her fans. She also said that she was hopeful and refused to allow the diagnosis to affect her outlook for her future.

“Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey,” Applegate wrote on Twitter on Monday. “But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a–hole blocks it.”

Likewise, Applegate quoted a friend who also has MS. While she didn’t mention names, Applegate may be referring to Blair. The actor also asked for privacy as she adjusts to her new normal. Applegate previously battled breast cancer.

“As one of my friends that has MS said ‘we wake up and take the indicated action’. And that’s what I do,” she concluded. “So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo”

Additionally, talk show host Montel Williams also offered words of support for Applegate as well. Williams also has MS as well and wanted to offer solidarity for the actor.

“We have MS – it will never have us unless we let it. Tara and I are sending hope and light your way,” he wrote
