After the former “19 Kids and Counting” star Josh Duggar was arrested on Thursday, his wife, Anna Duggar, is standing by him.
Currently, Josh Duggar is facing charges of receiving and possessing child pornography. According to reporting by journalist Garrett Fergeson, Duggar pleaded not guilty to the charges, adding that the “judge said if the bond is granted, Duggar will need to ‘live in a home without minors.'”
On Wednesday, Arkansas sheriffs took Josh Duggar into custody, yet at the time, the authorities had not disclosed the details of his alleged crime to the public. However, these charges are just the latest for Josh Duggar. In the past, he’s been accused of numerous crimes.
In 2019, Homeland Security raided his car dealership, but authorities did not release the details of what prompted the investigation. Josh Duggar was also accused of molesting his younger sisters, who were reportedly minors at the time, to which he admitted to doing and released a public apology.
“We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling,” he told USA Today at the time. “I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life.”
Josh Duggar’s Wife Stands by Husband Amid Allegations
Josh Duggar is currently a father of six children, with another on the way. However, if a judge finds him guilty, he could face up to 20 years in prison. Josh Duggar could also pay up to $250,000 in fines for each charge.
Amid the allegations, Anna is reportedly planning on standing by Josh Duggar and has no intention of filing for divorce. The two have been married for over 13 years.
“Anna is standing by her husband as she always has,” a source told The Sun. “She even accompanied Josh to Fayetteville on Thursday so he could turn himself into authorities. Josh and Anna asked the family to pray for them, and said that they love them.”
Several of Josh Duggar’s siblings have commented publicly on his arrest. “We are disturbed to hear of the charges against Josh,” Jinger Duggar Vuolo wrote Friday in an Instagram post.
“While this case must go through the legal system, we want to make it clear that we absolutely condemn any form of child abuse and fully support the authorities and judicial process in their pursuit of justice.”
In addition, Jill Duggar Dillard and her husband, Derick Dillard, issued a brief statement: “We just learned this information. It is very sad,” they said.
