Fall premiere season is almost upon us! While we gear up for the return of some of our favorite shows, there are also some new shows on the horizon that we are eager to see. After all, isn’t this part of the fun of fall’s premiere shows each year? Finding some new stories and characters to connect with; while also catching up with the ones we already love. CSI however, is giving us the best of BOTH worlds by bringing back one of our favorites in a brand-new series, CSI: Vegas.

Recently, TVLine took to Twitter to show off some fun photos that give CSI fans a quick look at what to expect when CSI: Vegas premieres this fall.

The excitement looks to be nonstop as the CSI: Vegas investigators come together to do “what they do best.” “Follow the evidence.”

A brand new series, CSI: Vegas is being advertised as a sort of sequel, or epilogue to the original series in the CSI universe, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

While this is an entirely new series altogether, CSI: Vegas, does take place where it all began: Las Vegas.

As the recent Twitter post – and TVLine article – shows, the new chapter to the hit CBS crime-solving series may be new, but it will be bringing with it some very familiar faces. Along with some new ones, of course, as CSI returns to the airwaves this fall.

Some Very Familiar Faces

In the upcoming series, William Petersen reprises his role as Gil Grissom, and Jorja Fox returns as Sara Sidle. Wallace Langham reprises his role as David Hodges.

According to some early descriptions of the series premiere, it looks as if another CSI: Crime Scene Investigation alum will be joining Grissom and Sidle in the early episodes of CSI: Vegas. According to reports, Paul Guilfoyle briefly reprising his role as Jim Brass as he guest-stars in two upcoming episodes of the new CBS series.

Some new faces we will be seeing when CSI: Vegas premieres this fall on October 6 premiere include Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez, and Mandeep Dhillon.

CSI: Vegas Brings With It Updates On What Our Faves Have Been Up To

According to reports, the CSI: Vegas premiere will be picking up where the show’s characters would be now. Over five years after the series finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

In the premiere episodes, we find the Las Vegas CSI department is being operated by a new team of clever investigators. However, notes an early synopsis of the much-anticipated premiere, this new team turns to former CSI agents, Gil Grissom, Sara Sidle, David Hodges, and Jim Brass as they work to solve a threat that could destroy the crime labs credibility, and, as a result, release thousands of convicted killers.
