‘CSI: Vegas’ Unveils Official Trailer Ahead of October Premiere

If you have been waiting for a peek into what “CSI: Vegas” will be like this October, then you’re in luck. The official trailer is now out.

“CSI: Vegas” is a spin-off as part of the powerful “CSI” franchise. You might think that you are seeing visions from “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” when you catch William Peterson and Jorja Fox in the cast.

We promise you, Outsiders, that you are not at all. Both original “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” cast members will be a part of this new show. Well, here’s the trailer for the show that’ll be part of CBS’ fall lineup starting Oct. 6.

Peterson and Fox appear in the trailer, along with Paul Guilfoyle, who for two episodes appears in his role of Las Vegas Police Captain Jim Brass. Peterson returns as Gil Grissom while Fox will play Sara Sidle, the same characters both played in “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.”

“CSI: Vegas” also has Wallace Langdon reprising his role as David Hodges. It’ll air on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.

‘CSI: Vegas’ Stars Talk About ‘Getting the Call’ For New Version

So, how do you think “CSI: Vegas” stars Peterson and Fox felt after both heard from show producers about reprising their roles?

Let’s check in with both actors. They shared what their reactions were with TV Insider.

Peterson and Fox talked about being hesitant to do a sequel. Playing Grissom and Sidle again on another series?

“I was hesitant,” Peterson said. “But the idea of coming back and doing this with Jorja…”

Fox said, “I was also hesitant—I felt like the story left Sara and Grissom in paradise together—but getting to work with William Petersen again? They had me at hello!”

Peterson Doing Better After Recent Health Scare Sent Him To Hospital

When you see this show, don’t expect it to be just like the old-school “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” you’ve seen before. There will be plenty of new characters appearing with returning ones. Paula Newsome, Mel Rodriguez, Matt Lauria, and Mandeep Dhillon will all join the returning cast for “CSI: Vegas.”

Peterson had a bit of a health scare recently.

Deadline reported that he asked for a break after feeling exhausted and was rushed to the hospital when he didn’t improve. A publicist for Peterson cited exhaustion from working long hours over the past 12 weeks.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Peterson was released from the hospital and is feeling better. Variety reported that series production will last until November barring any unforeseen circumstances.

“CSI: Vegas” will mark the fifth series in the franchise. Other shows included “CSI: Miami,” “CSI: NY,” and “CSI: Cyber.”
