Danica Patrick and Bear Grylls Face Rattlesnake ‘Ready to Strike’ in New Episode of ‘Running Wild’

Danica Patrick is already a bonafide superstar. Since she wrapped up her NASCAR career, she has been delving into the world of media. One of her latest endeavors was doing a show with Bear Grylls and National Geographic.

The show that the two stars did together is called “Running Wild with Bear Grylls.” This is the legendary outdoorsman’s show that Danica Patrick appears in as a guest.

The National Geographic show is now in its fourth season and enjoying a good amount of success. According to the host network, NBC, the show takes celebrities on adventures.

“In this hour-long alternative series, Grylls will take the top stars of the entertainment and sports worlds into the most remote and pristine locations in the U.S. and around the world for the 48-hour journey of a lifetime.”

So, National Geographic sent out a tweet as a teaser of next week’s episode. In the short video clip that is included, Danica Patrick gets quite the surprise. She is going to drive Bear Grylls around in a four-wheeler in some gorgeous canyonlands. But, there is a rattlesnake in the way, and the former NASCAR driver wants nothing to do with it.

Anyone in their right mind, who has a rational fear of snakes, would certainly have the same reaction. Even though the snake is just trying to enjoy the shade that the tire is providing, it is still menacing.

Rattlesnakes are undoubtedly terrifying. Encountering one in the wild is almost always a nerve-racking experience. There is no such thing as being too cautious around one. But, when Bear Grylls is around, hopefully, that fear is mitigated a little bit.

In a comical first teaser of the episode, it is clear Danica Patrick has a fear of snakes. From the short trailer, it looks as if much of the episode will be spent driving around in the ATV. So, hopefully, for the former driver, she won’t have to deal with any more snakes.
