‘Dirty Jobs’ Star Mike Rowe Hilariously Captions Photo Labeling Him a ‘Mid-Level Individual’

Dirty Jobs star Mike Rowe took to social media late on Friday evening to update his fans and followers with a hilarious new photo.

Most people recognize Rowe for his work on the Discovery Channel series Dirty Jobs. In the show, Rowe has to perform difficult and oftentimes downright disgusting duties alongside the typical workers on the job. He also starred in the CNN series Somebody’s Gotta Do It.

But it isn’t just the Dirty Jobs shows that Rowe is a part of. He also hosts a series on Facebook called Returning the Favor. In that series, Rowe finds people doing good deeds and does something for them in return. In addition, he also hosts his own podcast, The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe.

Furthermore, Mike Rowe has narrated programs on the Discovery Channel, The Science Channel, and National Geographic. Some of those programs include hits like Deadliest Catch, How the Universe Works, and Shark Week. He has also made commercial appearances for companies including the Ford Motor Company.

Not a bad resume, right? So, you would think that if the Dirty Jobs star were to land a promotion, it would have to be a pretty substantial one. Evidently not, according to Rowe’s most recent Instagram photo on Friday. He posted a hilarious picture at his desk where he labels himself as simply a “mid-level individual.”

“Very excited by my latest promotion,” the Dirty Jobs man captioned his newest picture.

‘Dirty Jobs’ Star Works Hard, On and Off the Camera

There is no doubt that Mike Rowe is perhaps the grittiest star in all of television. His work on Dirty Jobs and Somebody’s Gotta Do It have all but helped assure him of that.

And Mike Rowe’s gritty personality isn’t just a front for the camera, either. He works just as hard — and gets just as dirty — even when no one is watching. In fact, Rowe took to Instagram yet again on Wednesday to show his latest handiwork.

“I galvanized a pipe today. A big one. More later,” Rowe wrote alongside a picture of him sitting in front of a massive pipe. You can view that post here.

Meanwhile, the Dirty Jobs star recently expressed interest in building a tug boat. So, what did he do? Well, he went out and built one, of course. Despite being almost 60 years old, Mike Rowe does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
