Alright, NCIS fans. We found out that Emily Wickersham was pregnant back in late July. So, what’s the deal? When is she due to give birth?
There is little argument that Emily Wickersham is best known for her role on NCIS. She appeared on the popular military crime show from season 11 to season 18 playing the role of Special Agent Elanor “Ellie” Bishop. However, she announced back in spring that she would be leaving the show, and not coming back for season 19.
At the time, NCIS fans were pretty upset about the news. And rightfully so — Agent Bishop was most definitely a fan-favorite character on the show. But perhaps Wickersham knew that she had bigger things in life on the horizon. One of those, of course, was to become a mother.
The short answer is that no one knows just yet what the due date is for the former NCIS star. We first found out back on July 30 that she was expecting a baby boy with her partner, James Badge Dale. Dale is a fellow actor as well, having starred in works like 24, The Pacific, The Departed, Iron Man 3, and 13 Hours. Wickersham posted her announcement on Instagram where she showed off her baby bump. As you can see in the photo, she is rocking a simple black bikini and a sun hat while she looks down at her bump.
“My mom taking a photo of a future mom with a baby boy on the way!” she captioned the photo.
Baby Bump of Former ‘NCIS’ Star Continues to Grow
As we said, the Agent Bishop actress didn’t give us an exact due date in her pregnancy announcement. And she hasn’t given an update on her pregnancy since then. But all it takes are a few context clues to come to the conclusion that Wickersham is nearing the halfway point of her pregnancy.
If her July announcement photo is any indication, the soon-to-be mom already had a decent-sized baby bump. And then a couple of weeks ago, she posted another photo on the beach. While we can’t actually see the star actress herself, we can see her shadow, and her bump has definitely grown a lot since July.
It’s clear that Emily Wickersham has been loving her life right now and is enjoying her time away from the television set. And even though all of us, as NCIS fans, miss her on the show, we can at least take pride in the fact that we get to follow her pregnancy journey on social media. And who knows, maybe one day we will see her make a comeback on the show.
