According to TMZ, Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman filed for his marriage license in Colorado today. Chapman and Francie Frane are set to tie the knot on September 2nd—and his daughters are not invited.

In an interview with TMZ, Bonnie and Cecily Chapman said they didn’t know why their father didn’t want them to attend the wedding. But they assumed it was because they remind Dog of their late mother.

After that story broke, Bonnie received a text from her soon-to-be stepmother. And the text forced her to continue her story on Facebook. “Considering the text I received today,” she wrote on August 24th. “I have just a little bit more to say about this entire subject.

In the post, she explained that Frane sent her the text after reading the TMZ story.

“On the morning of August 22, TMZ released the following story about my sister and me not being invited to my dad’s wedding. Later in the morning, I received a text from Francie Frane, my dad’s fiancé,” she wrote. “The reason I wasn’t invited to my dad’s wedding is my choice to participate in social justice and BLM protests with ‘The System,’ and not condemn the streaming platform when they fired my father for using epithets. I’m sorry, but I can’t defend my Dad’s racism.”

Chapman also said that Dog had countless affairs during his marriage to her mother, Beth Chapman. Beth passed away in 2019 after battling throat cancer.

“I had forgiven my father after my mother’s death for countless actions that I shouldn’t have. He would cheat on my mom all the time, and I hated him every time he did it,” she claimed. “But I forgave him for that because I wanted a relationship with my dad.”

Dog the Bounty Hunter and Daughter Lyssa Lash Back

After the drama began, Dog the Bounty Hunter’s third daughter, Lyssa Chapman, weighed in.

On August 23rd, Lyssa took to Twitter to give another perspective.

“My sister(s) are putting out lies about our father,” she wrote. “Do not listen!”

She added that the family still loves Bonnie and Cecily. Lyssa wrote that they are “heartbroken that bad people are using them to get revenge on Dad.”

Shortly after Lyssa’s tweet, Dog the Bounty Hunter and his fiance gave a statement to PEOPLE. They said that “Bonnie’s allegations are false and a misguided attempt to derail our wedding.” The statement continued by saying that his daughters were “groomed by disgruntled former associates” of his, and they “want revenge at any cost and are attempting to tarnish [his] reputation.”

“We love them and pray for them every day. We are grateful to the rest of our family for helping us to set the record straight. Despite the sadness we feel at this rift in our family, Francie and I are looking forward to celebrating our wedding next week with the rest of our family and close friends.”
