On Sunday afternoon, Duck Dynasty star Korie Robertson posted an adorable photo of her two most recent grandchildren “whispering” to each other.
The Robertson family has had a lot to celebrate in recent history. Willie and Korie’s daughter, Sadie, gave birth to her first child last month on May 11th. Sadie and her husband, Christian, welcomed Honey James Huff to the world just weeks after another Duck Dynasty couple welcomed their second child. Sadie’s brother, John Luke, and his wife announced the birth of their second baby, Ella Kathryn Robertson, on April 8th.
With just over a month separating the two infants, the two baby cousins already look well accustomed to one another. As they often say, cousins are your first friends, and that’s clearly the case for baby Ella and baby Honey.
Korie Robertson shared a cute photo of the two little ones lying beside each other. She reposted the picture from Honey’s Instagram account. That’s right, the one-month-old infant has her own page and already has more than 217,000 followers. It’s a testament to Duck Dynasty‘s success that even the smallest of the Robertson clan garners that many followers.
In case you needed clarification, Honey is on the left with the bow on her head, and Ella is on the right. Korie also shared a touching message along with her own post.
“Sadie posted this picture on @legithoneyjames and someone commented, ‘Honey is whispering to Ella, ‘We’re going to change the world’ and my heart can’t handle it,” the Duck Dynasty star wrote on Instagram.
‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Sadie Robertson Explains Story Behind Daughter’s Name
Honey James took her time to join her Duck Dynasty family. She wasn’t born until almost a full week after her due date. However, her mother and father had her unique name chosen long before. In another Instagram post, Sadie Robertson explained the meaning behind her daughter’s name and why they picked it.
“Gracious words are like HONEY, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Proverbs 16:24,” Sadie posted on Instagram.
The words are from one of Sadie’s favorite Bible verses, which helps explain her first name. She continued to give more details about naming Honey.
“I’ve always loved this verse,” she continued. “It made me have a love for the idea of all that honey is. It’s a sweet delicacy with a strong healing component. When Christian and I started dating, we went through the book of Proverbs together, and I remember getting to chapter 16, and as I read verse 24, I said to him, ‘you have words like honey. They are so sweet and are healing places in my heart I didn’t even know needed to be healed.’”
In 2019, Sadie Robertson and Christian Huff got married, but the origin of Honey’s name dates back to their first date. Additionally, Robertson’s great grandmother played a role in the decision as well.
“On our first date, we went to do pottery together, and on my cup, I simply wrote ‘honey’ because I called him the boy with the honey words,” she shared in another Instagram post. “Not to mention this word reminds me of my great-grandma, who calls everyone she loves honey.”
