Sadie Robertson Huff, the soon-to-be, first-time mom and former Duck Dynasty star, received some huge career news. Her book will be turned into a scripted TV series.

Robertson Huff also will produce the new show and appear in it as a guest star. Deadline reported Friday that the book Life Just Got Real will be crafted into a TV show by Brad Krevoy. He also produced Dumb and Dumber and The Princess Switch.

The Sadie Robertson Huff produced show will focus on two high school girls who join a reality show. The two girls come from different backgrounds. And according to Deadline, the pair discover that “life is messy, love is hard, and second chances don’t come around every day.”

New Sadie Robertson Huff Show Likely To Have Hallmark Feel To It

This new show likely will have a Hallmark Channel kind of feel to it. So it’s probably very on-brand for Sadie Robertson Huff. Krevoy’s programming dominates on the cable channel that specializes in G-rated love stories and holiday movies. He produces the Hallmark series When Calls the Heart.

He also has produced Christmas movies for Netflix. Some of his movies include A Christmas Prince, The Princess Switch, Holiday in the WildOperation Christmas Drop and A Christmas Prince.

“I am so excited to jump into the world of scripted television, and to be doing it with Brad, who has been producing positive, inspirational entertainment for years,” Sadie Robertson Huff told Deadline. “My hope is that this would be an encouraging show for people to watch together that has an inspirational message woven within. I can’t wait to get started!”

Meanwhile, Sadie Robertson Huff is anxiously awaiting the birth of her daughter, emphasis on anxious. She’s now past her due date. She’s already revealed the baby’s name is Honey James Huff.

Sadie Robertson Huff has documented her first pregnancy on her social media accounts. She’s shown her fans the gender reveal and scans of the baby. So, of course, she’d write about having to wait to officially meet her baby daughter. She wrote on Instagram:

“Honeys due date has come and gone and she’s still snuggled up inside of me,” Robertson Huff said. “I have to say waiting is hard… it’s hard to be patient. it’s hard to sit in the uncomfortably of being “almost” to a miracle you’re waiting for. It’s hard when you pray and pray and pray but nothing seems to be happening. But I’ve realized my prayers are for my will, my wants, my timing, and out of my rush…”
