On Wednesday night, Duck Dynasty star Si Robertson announced that the family matriarch Miss Kay has recovered from her recent dog bite injury. Of course, in his own trademark humor, Robertson also added that she’s back to “causing trouble” as well.

In late June, Phil Robertson‘s wife, Miss Kay, got bit by their family dog, Bobo. The incident happened one night when the dog was asleep. Miss Kay leaned down to give the little dog a kiss goodnight. Evidently she startled the sleeping dog, which caused him to lash out and bite his owner. Bobo’s bite took a chunk out of her lip, and she had to be rushed to the hospital.

The Duck Dynasty mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother said she doesn’t blame Bobo though. Her husband Phil didn’t agree completely, but also shared an old saying that let Bobo off the hook at least a little.

“She said, ‘You make sure you tell them boys don’t put him to sleep. Don’t hurt that dog because it wasn’t his fault. I said, ‘Well, it was his fault alright.’ But I said the old saying, ‘Miss Kay, let a sleeping dog lie. You need to remember that,'” Robertson said on his Unashamed podcast.

A little over a month later and Miss Kay’s injury seems to have healed up thankfully. Uncle Si shared an Instagram post that joked that his sister-in-law is “back to telling stories and causing trouble.” He also added a few pictures of Miss Kay and Bobo for proof.

“Y’all prayed, and now Miss Kay is recovered and back to telling stories and causing trouble. Watch the new Duck Call Room, boys, and see for yourself!” the Duck Dynasty star wrote on Instagram.

‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Miss Kay Hospitalized After Dog Attack

Duck Dynasty‘s Miss Kay is doing fine these days, but almost exactly a month ago it was a different story. Her husband and their son, Jase Robertson, opened up about the incident on their podcast last month.

Evidently Miss Kay came into the couple’s bedroom with a rag covering her bleeding mouth. She told Phil she needed to go to the emergency room.

“I said, ‘Move that rag a minute,’” Phil Robertson recalled on the podcast. “She takes the rag off her face. And I’m looking at her top lip, which was split in two, about a quarter of an inch. That’s a big cut.”

Jase also chimed in and shared some thoughts on the ordeal. The Duck Dynasty star said he knew it was serious. He joked that his dad usually won’t go to the hospital unless someone’s body part is detached.

“There were two things that popped into my head, because I know my dad well,” Jase said. “I thought, ‘If my dad drove my mom to the hospital, this is bad. ‘Cause this is the same guy who, if you don’t have a body part detached, or you are not bleeding profusely, he’s like, ‘Ahhh, you’ll be alright.’”

However, Phil spoke up and admitted he knew she needed help. Therefore they rushed Miss Kay to the ER for medical treatment.

“Her bottom lip, over on the right side, there was just a chunk gone. Bleeding profusely is an understatement,” Phil said.
