It wouldn’t be a real 4th of July party unless we heard from the Duck Dynasty family. And thankfully, Korie Robertson came through.

As she so often does, the Duck Dynasty star took to social media to engage with her fans on the holiday weekend. On Sunday evening, she wished her more than two million followers on Instagram a happy 4th of July. In doing so, she posted a photo with her husband, Willie Robertson. Both are all smiles. It looks like the happy couple is laying in the grass.

“Happy Independence Day,” Robertson wrote alongside the photo of her and Willie. “So thankful for our great country and the freedoms we enjoy!”

Family is Everything to the Stars of ‘Duck Dynasty’

To Korie Robertson and the rest of the Duck Dynasty clan, family is everything. If you follow Korie and Sadie Robertson on social media, this is something you probably already know. But it isn’t just the 4th of July and other holidays that the tight-knit family gets together. They are together basically 24/7.

For those out there who don’t know, Korie Robertson is the mother of John Luke Robterson, 25, Sadie Robertson Huff, 24, and Bella Robertson Mayo, 18. However, she also has a cousin, John-David Owen, who you may know as “Johnny-D.” Korie helped him get a job as her husband’s assistant years ago. That connection started back in Season 5 of Duck Dynasty. Since then, it has become yet another family relationship that has blossomed.

As a matter of fact, Johnny-D is now a well-respected member of the Duck Dynasty crew. He even has hose own role as a co-host of the Duck Call Room podcast alongside Si Robertson (who most refer to as Uncle Si), Justin Martin, and others. In one of their most recent episodes the guys even call up Miss Kay Robertson to see how she is doing after she was attacked by the family dog, Bobo.

But just a week before July 4th weekend, Korie took to Instagram yet again to give a shout out to two of her cousins — John-David being one of them. They had just finished up working a public fundraiser together.

“This was fun! You might know that Willie’s awesome assistant @jdowen7 is my cousin, but you might not know that another cousin of mine @heatharthur is a hilarious comedian, actor, and emcee. Well, we all got to work together last night a fundraiser event!”

The Duck Dynasty star says that she is thankful to once again be able to take part in public events such as fundraisers.

“Thankful that these kinds of things are happening again, and always thankful to get to work with family!”
