‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Phil Robertson Reveals Miss Kay’s Thoughts on Botox After Being Bitten By Dog

by Quentin Blount

On the most recent episode of his podcast, Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson shared with his viewers that Miss Kay has been contemplating getting botox.

Most Duck Dynasty fans know by now that Kay Robertson — widely referred to as “Miss Kay” — was bitten by the family dog, Bobo. That took place back in late June. Miss Kay explained what happened after the incident. She said that she was leaning down to give her sleeping dog a goodnight kiss when she startled him. That led to the dog snapping at her and taking out a chunk of her lips.

Based on the stories from Miss Kay and from her husband Phil, it sounds like her injuries were pretty gruesome and extensive. As a result, now that her lips have mostly healed up, she has an idea of what they will look like from now on. That led the 73-year-old to contemplate getting botox injections to even out her lips. Phil explained as much on the most recent episode of his podcast, Unashamed.

“You read these things and you say, ‘Ya know, I think back to Miss Kay when ol’ Bobo bit her lips two or three weeks ago.’ It’s all healed up now.” Robertson explained. “But she might need a little dose of botox on one side.”

It’s safe to say that just about any celebrity would consider getting botox if they, too, were bitten in the lips by a dog. And many of them would likely go through with the procedure. But in the end, Duck Dynasty’s Kay Robertson decided against that option. She did so thanks to a special reason that’s close to her heart.

“I looked at her and I said, ‘Honey, by this time at our age,’ and she said, ‘I think it will help me and Jase’s daughter to know I’m just like her.”

For fans out there who may not know, one of the youngest members of the Duck Dynasty family was actually born with a rare lip condition. Young Mia Robertson, the daughter of Jase Robertson and granddaughter of Phil and Miss Kay, was born with a cleft palate. It’s an opening or split in the roof of the mouth.

Miss Kay says so what if her lips are a little out of line. According to Phil, he doesn’t mind his wife’s new look.

“She said, ‘So my lips are a little bit out of line, there,'” Robertson recalled. “I said, ‘Well, LA women all of them out there, they get that botox.”

“She said, ‘Well, I think I’ll just let it go. Does it bother you?'”

“I said, ‘It ain’t botherin’ me, baby.”
