What Duck Dynasty Star Phil Has Been Up To

If you’re wondering why you may not have heard as much from Phil since the end of Duck Dynasty, there is a reason for that. Phil told folks that he had been off the grid since the 1970s when his life changed forever involving his faith. It was fair to assume then that once the show came to a close that folks might not see or hear from Robertson as much post-DD.

He told Fox News when the pandemic first began in 2020, “My ambition now is to live a quiet life, mind my own business, work with my hands as God told me, so that my daily life may win the respect of outsiders so that so that I will not be dependent on anybody.”

He made it very clear that he is comfortable in his faith and that big-city aspirations are not for him. Phil is comfortable in the bayou away from the world where he can focus on what’s important to him and his family.

He continued, “Peace of mind is the rarest of commodities and I am totally at peace in my life in the quarantine.”

When the Duck Dynasty star’s life changed

“At first, I’m trying to be good,” he also told Fox News. “I’m learning how to be good. My friends would come by, my old buddies, and they would say, ‘Let’s go for a ride. Drive up the road.’ I said, ‘Nah.’ My faith was being tested. … I just broke away from them. … I will say I got an unlisted phone number and I hid out the first year while I was getting on my spiritual feet. That was 44 years ago. Well, the further I have gone on my walk of faith the more faithful I have become.”

Now that Duck Dynasty is over, Phil has more time to commit to other things, like how to make the perfect pecan pie for the holidays.
