On Sunday evening, Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson shared a heartfelt post with her Instagram followers about her husband and their young child.
Robertson and her husband, Christian Huff, tied the knot back in November 2019. The couple got married on the Robertsons’ family farm in Louisiana. Fast forward to May 11 and the pair welcomed a new addition to their world.
Honey James Huff was born almost a week past her original due date. The baby girl became the couple’s first child when she was born weighing 9 pounds and 5 ounces. She became the newest member of the Duck Dynasty family, however, Honey was the second in the family in recent history. Sadie’s brother John Luke Robertson and his wife, Mary Kate, had their second child just weeks before, welcoming their own baby girl named Ella.
The young parents often show off their bundle of joy on social media. But Sadie took time today to share how much she loved both Honey and Christian. She shared a sweet picture of her little family today with her 4.5 million Instagram followers.
“Couldn’t tell ya many things I love more than worshipping beside these two on Sunday mornings,” Robertson wrote on Instagram.
‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Sadie Robertson Huff Explains Why She Has to ‘Fight Fear’ After Birth of Daughter
As mentioned previously, Duck Dynasty‘s Sadie Robertson gave birth to her first child a couple of months ago. Yet not everything has been smooth sailing since Honey arrived.
Following the birth of the couple’s infant girl, the young mother revealed details about her postpartum anxiety. While speaking on the most recent episode of her Whoa! That’s Good podcast, Sadie shared that she’s constantly fighting against her fears since Honey’s birth.
“I’m constantly trying to fight fear in my life,” Robertson said on the podcast. “It was like, so many emotions happening that I couldn’t really fight the fear like I normally do. All of a sudden, I was just in a state of anxiety. I didn’t even realize that it was creeping up as much as it was.”
Since her May delivery, the Duck Dynasty star admits she often fears for her daughter’s well-being. She called it a “toxic brain spiral” that comes around here and there. She also says her baby girl has brought unimaginable happiness to her life since she arrived. But Sadie also realized she can experience both happiness and fearfulness simultaneously.
“I didn’t understand how I could be so happy and so joyful, yet also experience so much fear,” Robertson explained. “I realized that you don’t have to choose just one of those feelings. You don’t have to choose fear and trade out all the joy. You don’t have to choose joy and trade out all the fear. It can actually go hand in hand.”
