Sadie Robertson Huff says she feels profoundly changed after giving birth last week to her daughter, Honey. The Duck Dynasty star said giving birth has taught her a great deal in such a short period of time.
The Duck Dynasty daughter Robertson Huff shared some of those lessons with her 4.4 million followers on Instagram recently.
“1 week and you’ve officially changed me for the better. I’ve learned that before I ever get to really teach you a thing you will teach me a million.
“Lessons you have already taught me
“- The way you came into the world was absolutely everything we prayed for and absolutely nothing we had planned for and that’s the best way it could have been. If your birth had happened how I “planned” then we wouldn’t have seen what we had prayed. His plan is way better than our own. I love my little chunky miracle
“- To see a miracle you have to go through a moment of desperation, fear and even pain, but none of those feelings compare to the gratitude of receiving the miracle.
“- My body is much more than an image. It’s a powerful creation that can host and grow a powerful creation. If I EVER get tripped up about my body image again it better be me tripping over the fact I’m made in the IMAGE of God!
“- My voice is not about the tone or being the best but it’s the thing that makes you feel most at peace so I’ll sing to you forever. you’re my little worship partner 🙂
“- Every single day I have a purpose. the greatest job in the world – being your mama.
“Thank you Honey for changing my perspective of things already. You are one of a kind… an original. My heart swells when I even think of you and I have thought of you for the past 24/7.”
New ‘Duck Dynasty’ Family Goes On First Outing
Sadie Robertson Huff and her husband, Christian, took Honey on her first outing recently to visit another Duck Dynasty alum, her older brother John Luke, who recently had his own new baby daughter. They took the newborn to visit John Luke Robertson’s Railway Coffee shop.
On Monday, they visited John then went to the hospital to give her nurses gifts. She posted the trip to Instagram.
“First family outing to @johnluke_robertson coffee shop and then on to the hospital to bring our amazing nurses and doctor some gifts,” she wrote.
“Seriously, we couldn’t be more grateful for them showing us God’s love in how they served us with such grace and kindness at our stay! Making the most special time even more special. Doing your job for the glory of God makes a difference and they sure did make a difference in our lives!”
