On Friday, Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson shared an adorable photo of her newborn daughter with her more than 1.7 million Twitter followers.

On May 11, Sadie and her husband Christian Huff welcomed their first child to the world. Weighing in at 9 pounds and 5 ounces, Honey James Huff recently became the newest member of the Duck Dynasty family. In fact, Honey is the second baby to join the Robertson clan in recent weeks. John Luke Robertson and his wife, Mary Kate, gave birth to a baby girl named Ella in mid-April.

A week and a half after Honey’s birth, Sadie has now shared another personal photo of her baby girl. In the picture, Honey is wearing a pink and white cozy sweater with a matching bow on her head. The little one is seen with closed eyes, but a hint of a smile is clear as day. She also seems to be resting in her mother’s lap as Sadie snapped the pic.

“Honey just wanted to say ‘happy friday!'” Sadie Robertson tweeted.

‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Sadie Robertson Explains Story Behind Daughter’s Name

While it took Honey almost a full week after her due date to be born, her mother wasted no time naming her child. On April 23, the Duck Dynasty star explained to her fans and followers on Instagram the origins of her child-to-be’s name. Robertson wanted her fans to hear her daughter’s name from her parents instead of reading about it after the fact.

“Gracious words are like HONEY, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Proverbs‬ ‭16:24‬,” Sadie posted on Instagram.

The passage from a favorite Bible verse helped explain some of the meaning behind their child’s first name.

“I’ve always loved this verse,” she continued. “It made me have a love for the idea of all that honey is. It’s a sweet delicacy with a strong healing component. When Christian and I started dating, we went through the book of Proverbs together, and I remember getting to chapter 16, and as I read verse 24, I said to him, ‘you have words like honey. They are so sweet and are healing places in my heart I didn’t even know needed to be healed.'”

In 2019, Sadie Robertson and Christian Huff tied the knot. Yet the origin of Honey’s name goes all the way back to the couple’s first date. In addition, the name even has a connection to Robertson’s great grandmother.

“On our first date, we went to do pottery together, and on my cup, I simply wrote ‘honey’ because I called him the boy with the honey words,” she shared in another Instagram post. “Fast forward 2 and a half years later, and we have a daughter on the way who we so proudly get to name after one of the loveliest words. Not to mention this word reminds me of my great-grandma, who calls everyone she loves honey.”
