On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, people across the country are sharing their memories and feelings about that tragic day. One of these people was “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson.

In his remembrance post, the 49-year-old reality star reflected on what the United States of America lost on that day. Of course, he begins his social media post with words about the nearly 3,000 people who died in the terrorist attack.

“We miss the people we lost 20 years ago. We miss hero’s that ran towards harms (sic) way,” the “Duck Dynasty” star shared.

Next, he commented on how the people of America came together in the aftermath of the tragedy. That togetherness is something he wishes the people of his country still shared.

“We miss the unity that came out of tragedy,” Willie Robertson also said. “We miss the innocence we lost when evil spread in new ways.”

He then shared a message for those who lost loved ones on Sept. 11, 2001. “Heavy hearts for all those families on this day. We love you,” he added. You can check out the “Duck Dynasty” star’s Instagram post below.

Other ‘Duck Dynasty’ Stars Have Also Commented on the 20th Anniversary of 9/11

“Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson wasn’t the only member of the Robertson family who shared a message about the 20th anniversary of 9/11 on Saturday. His wife, Korie Robertson, and sister-in-law, Missy Robertson, both offered their thoughts.

In her post, Korie shared a photo of the World Trade Center towers after the attack. She also shared a prayer offered by a Christian famous pastor.

“These are the words of Billy Graham days after 9/11. We will never forget that day. Prayers today for the families that lost loved ones, and for our nation. These words are just as true today,” this “Duck Dynasty” alum shared.

Graham’s words are moving and inspiring. Here’s just one part of the prayer that Korie Robertson shared: “My prayer today is that we will feel the loving arms of God wrapped around us and that as we trust in Him we will know in our hearts that He will never forsake us,” Graham prayed. He also encouraged people of his faith to turn to God in such tragic and difficult times.

In her 9/11 remembrance post, “Duck Dynasty’s” Miss Robertson described the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, as a “worldview-altering moment.” She also shared how she and her husband, Jase, reacted to the attacks. He was angry. She cried, but like many other Americans, she too became angry.

“I don’t remember picking up (son) Reed that day from school. I don’t remember cooking dinner or putting the boys to bed that night. … just remember my shock, sadness and eventual anger,” Missy shared.

She also reminded her readers that there is hope after such a tragic day.
