The famous family of the “Duck Dynasty” reality television series continues to grow. One of Willie and Korie Robertson’s daughters recently announced on social media that she is pregnant.
That daughter is Rebecca Robertson. And, according to her Instagram post, this pregnancy is even more special because of what she has gone through in her life. In her post, Rebecca describes this child as a “rainbow baby.”
Some of you might be asking what she means by “rainbow baby.”
According to Jennifer Kulp-Makarov, M.D., FACOG, on Parents.com, “rainbow baby” is a term used to describe “a baby born after a miscarriage, stillborn, or neonatal death.”
“It is called a rainbow baby because it is like a rainbow after a storm: something beautiful after something scary and dark,” Kulp-Makarov also explained. “… To create a life or bring a baby into the world after such a loss is amazing like a miracle for these parents.”
“Duck Dynasty’s” Rebecca Robertson experienced a miscarriage during October 2020. She and her husband, John Reed Loflin, already had their son, Zane, at the time.
News of Rebecca’s miscarriage came to light around the same time her sister, Sadie Robertson Huff, announced that she would be having a baby with her husband, Christian Huff. Their child, daughter Honey James, joined the “Duck Dynasty” family during May 2021.

Rebecca also talked about how it feels to be pregnant after experiencing a miscarriage in late 2020.

Rebecca closed her post with words of appreciation to those who have supported her and her family.
“P.S. Thanks everyone who has sent us love, prayers & encouragements along the way. It really means the world to us,” she shared.
