Korie Robertson shares a bible quote on Instagram encouraging fans to “pray for all people.”

With political tensions at a level that hasn’t been matched in years, today’s inauguration brings questions for some and cautious hope for others. Although the theme for this year’s inauguration events is “America United,” the country is far from a peaceful and united front. For this reason, many celebrities are taking to social media to share their thoughts about our country and today’s inauguration. Duck Dynasty star, Korie Robertson, is one of those celebrities.

Along with a photo of mini American flags posted outside the capital building, Robertson writes, “Lifting up prayers for our country and our leaders.”

Robertson then quotes a passage from the Bible. “‘I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.’ ‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:1-4‬”

How Are People Responding To Korie Robertson’s Post?

With over 44,000 likes in just over an hour, people seem to be responding well to Robertson’s message. However, the political leanings from the people sharing comments vary just as widely as they do across the nation currently.

One commenter writes, “It’s funny when people say they will not pray for these “satanic people”. You do know that we were born sinners? But God died for us because he loves us. He even loves those satanic people and that’s why he has called his children to pray for them!”

Another fan writes, “I can 100 percent agree our country needs prayer.”

One commenter replies, “GOD have mercy….” While another writes “He did also instruct us to pray for our enemies… so there’s that.”

Political opinions aside, it’s clear Korie Robertson is doing her best to advocate for unity through prayer.
