Are the stars of my favorite TV show involved in a workplace romance? It’s a question most have asked themselves at one point or another. And no one can blame you for wondering. Just look at “The Dukes of Hazzard.”

Catherine Bach was the dream girl of millions of adoring fans as Daisy Duke. And the same goes for Bo and Luke actors Tom Wopat and John Schneider. They’re objectively attractive, successful, and spent tons of time together at work. It’s not crazy to think that something could have happened.

According to Catherine Bach, however, that was never a possibility. The relationships between Bach, Wopat, and Schneider mirrored that of the ones they portrayed on screen. Closer, even. In “The Dukes of Hazzard,” their three characters were all cousins. In real life, the three of them are like brothers and sister.

So, despite all of the speculation over the years about whether or not Bach was hooking up with either or both of the Duke boys off-camera, she was proud to report that nothing of the sort ever happened.

In a 2019 interview with Fox News, “The Dukes of Hazzard” star talked about the relationship she has with Tom Wopat and John Schneider.

“Let me say this — as much as those guys were the most charming, sexiest friends and men on the planet and women all over just adored them — they were really like my brothers,” Bach said. As much as I appreciate them, there’s no way I would be, as you say, hooking up with them. Just look at your brother or whoever is really close to you and go “Can I do this?” It’s a no.”

When ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ Actress Had Tom Wopat Convinced He was Going to Die

For all of the driving that was done on “The Dukes of Hazzard,” the main cast generally wasn’t behind the wheel. They handled most of the routine stuff. But whenever you see the General Lee doing anything remotely dangerous, it’s a safe bet that there’s a stunt driver in control.

And far from carrying on a romantic relationship with Tom Wopat, the Daisy Duke actress scared him half to death on one occasion.

“We had a scene where we had been in some sort of fight. Geez, imagine that- and she slides up, she pulls up in the General Lee, and we jump in, and she drives off. And I was on the floor in the backseat. I thought I was going to die,” Wopat told Pop Goes the Culture TV in 2019.

But why did Tom Wopat think he was going to die? Simple. Catherine Bach was a mind-blowingly good driver, and she wasn’t afraid to cut it loose when she had the opportunity.
