Dwayne Johnson is iconic in the entertainment industry for a multitude of reasons. However, following the world premiere of his film “Red Notice,” he’s revealed he wants to be the next James Bond. As one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, beloved by many, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work out for him.

According to ComingSoon, Dwayne Johnson aspires to be the next James Bond as he aims to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps. The outlet stated the Hollywood star’s grandfather, Peter Maivia, starred in the 1967 installment of the hit film, “You Only Live Twice.” He reportedly played the character of a villainous henchman.

Of the film, Johnson said, “Yes, my grandfather was a Bond villain in ‘You Only Live Twice’ with Sean Connery. Very, very cool,” he added.

However, Dwayne Johnson has set his sights even higher. Now, he claims if he starred in one of the Bond films, he would have to play James Bond himself.

“I would like to follow [in my grandfather’s] footsteps and be the next Bond. I don’t want to be a villain. Gotta be Bond,” Dwayne Johnson confirmed.

As per the outlet, it’s undecided as to whom the next James Bond will be. But, frankly, I wouldn’t be disappointed if Johnson took the role of the iconic character.

Dwayne Johnson Owns the Fanny Pack Look

One of the latest pop culture trends to return comes in the form of none other than a fanny pack. Since the trend has returned, we’ve seen popular brands such as Coach, Gucci, and more adopt the notable style. However, while influencers across Instagram can participate and encourage the trend all they like, no one rocks the look as well as Hollywood’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

In promoting his new movie, Dwayne Johnson commended one critic’s report of the Netflix film, sharing the link on Twitter.

The original Tweet well captures the essence of the film and the headlining cast members. Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson captures fans’ attention with the caption in his retweet.

“Audiences LOVING the movie,” he shared in the post. Johnson continued with, “Two of the biggest movie stars on the planet and a dude famous for wearing a fanny pack.”

If you didn’t absolutely adore The Rock before, I can’t imagine any Outsider not loving him now. His drive for professionalism, dedication to fans, and sense of humor regarding himself and life overall makes him a markedly likable Hollywood icon. Despite his regretful fashion choices.

If you need a reminder as to which photo Dwayne Johnson is referencing in his “Red Notice” tweet, feel free to check it out here as one considerate fan did the digging so we could do the sharing.
