We are just days away from the Netflix premiere of Dwayne Johnson’s newest film, Red Notice! And, recently, the muscled action hero shared the excitement of the long-anticipated premiere. The action star shared the star-studded red carpet celebration of the upcoming film to his Instagram account.
Featuring smiling snapshots of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson beaming at the camera with friends and colleagues while walking the red carpet to snapshots of the actor greeting crowds of fans during a premiere, these brand-new photos are an awesome group to sort through.
“A new dawn. New era,” the actor writes in his Saturday night Instagram post. “What a spectacular night!”
Dwayne Johnson goes on to describe how much fun he had while coming together with his people to celebrate the premiere while also bringing the lights back to Hollywood.
“And man it felt great to be back with my family, my colleagues and fans, the actor adds. “to LIGHT UP HOLLYWOOD ONCE AGAIN.”
Dwayne Johnson Celebrates a Major Netflix Moment
Not only was Johnson excited about the world premiere of his upcoming film Red Notice, as he and his colleagues had the opportunity to return to a red carpet premiere, but, the actor notes, this was the “biggest red carpet world premiere in the history of NETFLIX.”
Which, the proud movie star adds, is in “honor of the biggest (and most fun;) movie in the history of NETFLIX.”
Dwayne Johnson goes on to thank everyone who made the film, and his epic night possible.
“Thank you to all our partners, our families and most of all, THE FANS for joining us on this epic night,” the actor says. “The energy and mana was real.”
Netflix Will Soon Premiere the Hilarious Action Comedy
This fall, Netflix released an early sneak peek at the upcoming action film which stars Johnson along with Ryan Reynolds and Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot.
The news that Netflix was considering this massive project first surfaced in 2019. The film was originally set to be released in 2020 by Universal Studios.
However, the cost of the film proved to be too high for the studio. Red Notice had a total filming cost of $130 million, including Johnson’s price tag of $20 million.
After Universal scrapped the action-comedy film, Netflix decided to pick it up, clearly recognizing a hit film when they see one. This would also be Dwayne Johnson’s first-ever Netflix-produced film.
The Netflix blockbuster film is scheduled to be released on Friday, November 12.
In the film, Johnson stars as top FBI profiler John Hartley. Hartley is working on a heist case that puts him in the middle of two competing career criminals Nolan Booth (Reynolds) and Sarah Black (Gadot).
Based on the sneak peek there is certainly no shortage of action in Red Notice, nor is there a shortage of laughs as Ryan Reynolds desperately tries to keep up with “The Rock” and Gadot in the film’s many action scenes.
