A legendary member of the Dynasty cast and so much more classic television, Geoffrey Scott, passed away in February.
The news officially broke on March 2, when the Hollywood Reporter reported the news that the longtime actor had left the earth. According to the outlet, Geoffrey Scott passed away on February 23. The Reporter received the news from his wife, Cheri Catherine Scott.
The Dynasty cast member was battling Parkinson’s Disease. Additionally, his death came just after he turned 79. His birthday was on February 22.
On Dynasty, Scott played Mark Jennings. Jennings was a professional tennis player and the first husband of Krystle Carrington. He and Krystle got divorced, which then led to Jennings meeting up with character Alexis Colby.
Famously, Scott’s character was murdered by being pushed off a cliff. Colby was initially suspected to be the killer. But, just as famously, the show goes on to reveal that Neal McVane, Colby’s former lover, killed Jennings.
Besides his role on Dynasty, Geoffrey Scott was also beloved for his roles. He appeared on other soap operas like Dark Shadows and General Hospital. Besides that, he had a myriad of appearances on famous shows like Murder, She Wrote, Dallas, The Love Boat and Married… With Children.
His final role, per IMDB, was as the President in the movie Hulk. The film starred Eric Bana as the titular Bruce Banner with Scott’s role as the President of the United States in supporting fashion.
Geoffrey Scott is survived by three children and Cheri Catherine Scott.
