Wolf Van Halen has definitely been working on his music career and is showing off what he’s been doing at concerts in a new snap.

Obviously, Wolf Van Halen is the son of late Van Halen guitarist and group co-founder Eddie Van Halen. Wolf has been out on the concert road with his band, Mammoth WVH. Take a look at what he shared with his Instagram followers on Saturday.

Earlier in the week, he announced that Mammoth WVH had to reschedule its planned appearance at the famed Whiskey A Go-Go.

The band was going to appear on Aug. 18 but that’s been pushed back to Oct. 12. Still, as you can tell from this pretty rad picture, Mammoth WVH is out playing concerts at this time.

Wolf Van Halen Has Big Supporter In His Corner With Mom Valerie Bertinelli

Wolf definitely has a big fan in his corner in his mother, actress Valerie Bertinelli. She was married to Eddie Van Halen for a number of years and remained in connection with him through his battle with and, sadly, death from cancer.

Right now, Wolf Van Halen is touring with and opening for “The Gunners” or, if you will, Guns N’ Roses.

Bertinelli, who is “Wolfiesmom” on Instagram, shared a picture of Wolf rocking out on guitar. Bertinelli wrote on her IG post, “Look at ’em go!!”

How does the son of one of rock music’s legendary guitarists handle criticism? Well, he does the best he can do and is choosing to forge his own path.

“I certainly will like it when it is on me as a person and not just me as a son, but I’ll always be there to champion my father and his legacy … definitely made a choice to not sound directly like Van Halen,” Wolf Van Halen said in an interview with Billboard. “I just think that would be boring if I was a carbon copy of my dad.”

Eddie’s Son Defended Himself From Recent Online Critic

Sometimes, though, he has to speak out and defend himself. One Twitter user recently said Wolf is “riding his dad’s coat-tails” and that there are “many better bands out there.”

Wolf Van Halen definitely disagreed with those thoughts. He replied to this person by writing that he put out his own album on his own. Van Halen also said that every track on the album is original. In other words, he wrote and performed those songs.

Wolf also said those songs on the album aren’t Van Halen songs. He’s referring to his late father’s band, of course.

Expect to see Wolf and Mammoth WVH keep on rocking as an opening act for Guns ‘N Roses.
