With “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” coming to an end soon, there is an opening in daytime TV.

Although there doesn’t need to be a direct replacement right away necessarily, there are some names being thrown around. In an article in The Blast, Marcela Iglesias was rumored to be considering that blank space left by the talk show.

Marcela Iglesias as Possible Host

“It’s about time that Latina women get a massive opportunity in talk shows like this! Also, I want to show immigrants of every race that they can achieve the American dream too. Asians, Indians, people arriving from the Middle East…if you fight like me you can also run your own massive businesses and become world-famous. Whatever you dream of, nothing is impossible. I carry this responsibility with me with great pride,” Iglesias told the outlet.

Ellen DeGeneres and the show have not made any kind of announcement regarding a replacement or what the show may turn into after its cancelation. However, Tiffany Haddish, Kelly Clarkson, and James Corden are a few names circulating. Clarkson already has her place on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and Corden is the host of “The Late Late Show.”

Marcela Iglesias is nicknamed the “Queen of Hollywood.” She is from Argentina and now runs her own lifestyle brand dubbed Plastics of Hollywood. As her website states, Iglesias has become popular for advocating the “transformative power of plastic surgery.”

There is no official word that Iglesias is in the drawing to get her own daytime show. Rather, she seems to be campaigning for a position.

Tiffany Haddish as Ellen DeGeneres Replacement

“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” will be around until the talk show officially wraps up in 2022. Tiffany Haddish continues to have the most speculation regarding future hosting. She has guest-hosted the show in the past.

“I haven’t commented on it because ain’t nobody that gives those jobs talked to me about it. The reason I’ve even been popping up guest-hosting ‘Ellen’ is because she wanted some days off. You know, she’s been doing it a long time. She wants to enjoy her money. She’s like, ‘Tiff, you want to try it?’ I’m like, ‘You know what? Yeah, sure. Y’all gonna pay me a little something, something?’ I’ll learn a new skill, I’m here for it,” Haddish said on “The Breakfast Club,” according to People.

Haddish said that if she “could be getting what Ellen is getting” she would consider the role. However, there are things outside of hosting she is hoping to accomplish in the near future that she wouldn’t want the possible hosting job to interfere with.

Ellen DeGeneres ended her popular daytime show after the series continued to face serious allegations of a toxic work environment. She claims these allegations aren’t the reason for the cancellation.

“I’m a creative person, and when you’re a creative person you constantly need to be challenged, which is why I decided to host the Oscars or why I decided to go back to stand-up when I didn’t think I would. I just needed something to challenge me. And as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore. I need something new to challenge me,” DeGeneres told The Hollywood Reporter.

It’s unclear what direction DeGeneres will go in following the end of her talk show.
