The FBI: International showrunner just opened up about the show’s most adorable star, Tank the dog. The show is the newest addition to the Dick Wolf-created FBI franchise. It’s already set itself apart with its various international locations as well as its character, Tank.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, FBI: International showrunner opened up about Tank the dog. The team has to decide when to bring in the dog and for how long with each episode, but it looks like they’re happy to play it by ear.

“Tank’s going to have some issues of his own coming up. But as far as how much we use him, we just play it by ear with what the script dictates each episode,” he explained. While it’s always nice to see Tank, they don’t want to put him in scenes simply because he’s a cute addition.

“We’re not trying to force him into scenes that he shouldn’t be a part of. But yeah, that dog is super lovable and we just liked the idea that Forrester’s a little bit of a lost dog himself and so of course he would bond with this lost dog,” he continued.

‘FBI: International’ Recently Dropped new Clues about Forrester’s Mysterious Mother

A big part of the series so far has been the mysterious nature of Forrester’s mother, and the recent episode dropped some major clues. Forrester is supposedly the son of a woman named Angela Cassidy, but we don’t know much else.

But it looks like his position as Angela Cassidy’s son is making people mistrust him. Whatever happened, it looks like Angela did something major that permanently scarred not only her reputation but her son’s.

Some wonder when Angela will appear on the series, or if she will at all. But with all the major breadcrumbs the show has been leaving about her, it’s safe to say that this isn’t the last we’ve heard of her. Perhaps Forrester is still in contact with her, and if he is, maybe that’s a conflict of interest with his job.

It’s all hard to tell now, but it’ll likely unravel as the show continues and might serve as a major mid-season finale plot point.

For now, fans will have to wait and see about Angela and about Tank. Hopefully, whatever trouble little Tank gets into isn’t too detrimental, and fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their new favorite TV dog is safe.

You can catch new episodes of FBI: International on Tuesday nights on CBS. The show airs alongside the other two shows in the franchise, with the entire night kicking off with FBI at 8/7 central.
