Only just finished its second season, the CBS drama FBI: Most Wanted is already adding a new character to its storyline. The crime series is a spinoff of Dick Wolf’s FBI and focuses on the Fugitive Task Force within the Bureau that tracks and arraigns the country’s most wanted criminals.

At the head of the team is Special Agent Jess La Croix (Julian McMahon) who is also a widower and single father to his young daughter.

Now, in Season 3, actress Alexa Davalos joins the FBI: Most Wanted cast. Best known as Juliana Crain in the Amazon Prime series, The Man in the High Castle, Davalos will now portray an agent on La Croix’s team.

Also starring on the Most Wanted team are Kellan Lutz, Roxy Sternberg, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Miguel Gomez. CBS has not yet released any other details about Davalos’ new character.

‘FBI: Most Wanted’ Will Have a New Team Dynamic

Whenever a new character comes onto an established show, it can be a rough transition for both the character and the actor to adjust to the team dynamic. Sometimes, this is intentional. With a tight-knit crew like in FBI: Most Wanted, it’s very possible that La Croix’s team won’t want anyone else infiltrating their flow. And often, there’s a period in which the new character has to prove that he or she is worthy of acceptance.

If we had to speculate, we would say that Special Agent Kenny Crosby (Kellan Lutz) is most likely to give Davalos’ character a hard time. As a result of his service with the 12th Infantry of the U.S. Army, Crosby struggles with anger management. He tends to lose his temper when cases or subjects hit close to home. When discussing PTSD-related complications, he became aggressive in the interrogation room, revealing his own battle with the condition. Despite his hairpin trigger, though, Crosby is fiercely loyal to his team. So, when Davalos’ character does gain Crosby’s trust, it’s likely she won’t ever lose it.

However, it’s just as likely that Special Agent Jess La Croix could put a stop to any territorial dance that his agents try to do. As a straightforward, no-nonsense kind of guy, LaCroix won’t let those kinds of petty concerns affect his team’s efficiency.

The ‘Fugitive Task Force’ Also Loses an Agent

Davalos’ addition to the team isn’t the only change FBI: Most Wanted is experiencing in Season 3. As one agent joins the task force, another one exits. Nathaniel Arcand, who plays Special Agent Clinton Skye, will be leaving the show in the coming season.

Unfortunately for Special Agent Jess LaCroix, this means also losing a close friend and confidante. Skye is one of the team’s most experienced members. As a superior marksman and lawyer, he’s been an essential asset to the FBI.

Outside of his career, Skye is also LaCroix’s brother-in-law and uncle of 10-year-old Talia LaCroix. While Davalos’ character won’t be able to replace Skye’s role in their leader’s life, it will be interesting to see how she completes the team in other aspects.
