In an effort to save his life, Station 19 firefighters brought him to Dr. Own Hunt. Here, the viewers learned that the stab had punctured vital organs.

Immediately, the Grey’s Anatomy doctor knew that the end was coming. So, he began talking to Meredith Grey about his situation.

“No matter what happens, I want you to know that I never felt seen the way you saw me. I never felt inspired the way you inspired me. You made me want to be not just my best self, but better. And yeah, I felt small around you sometimes. I felt insecure. I wanted something from you that I needed to give to myself. But here, now, on this beach with you, I get it. I don’t just get it, I feel it. I get who I am. I know my own soul, my strength.”

Dr. Andrew DeLuca last passed away while on the operating table. His last words were goodbye to Meredith, saying, “I’ll miss you. If I go back and you don’t, I’ll miss you.”

As fans should, they lost it over the death. Immediately once the episode had shown his death, fans took to Twitter to voice their sadness.

More users chimed in, with the user, @Its_aishwary_, saying, “Andrew DeLuca deserved more than this ending.” Many more people took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.

Moreover, it is worth noting that this death comes in the spring premiere of the Grey’s Anatomy season. It certainly makes you wonder what the show will have in store.
